The Deer Creek Fire, which started in eastern Utah and has already destroyed several structures, has crossed the state line into Colorado, state fire officials said.

The growth of one wildfire burning on Colorado’s Western Slope has slowed to a crawl, but four others continue to scorch thousands of acres, fire officials said.

The Deer Creek fire that is burning in San Juan County has grown to 14,760 acres and remains at 7% containment, according to the latest information from Utah Department of Forestry, Fire and State Lands.
