Max Clark, Kevin McGonigle and Josue Briceño represented the Detroit Tigers at Saturday's MLB All-Star Futures Game. All three joined the Erie SeaWolves the week prior.

The event has seen many of today’s stars participate. Former Detroit Tiger and current Philadelphia Phillie Nick Castellanos won the Larry Doby Award as the game’s MVP in 2012. Gerrit Cole, Josh Beckett, Pete Alonso and Mookie Betts are current and former MLB stars to have played in the game.

The best defensive play of the Futures Game belonged to D-backs outfield prospect Slade Caldwell, who robbed Yankees prospect George Lombard Jr. of a hit in the seventh inning with a sprawling catch on a sinking liner to straightaway center field.
