Chicago Police Superintendent Larry Snelling addressed fallen Chicago police officer Enrique Martinez's family at a funeral service on Monday.

For the fifth time in the past four years, mourners have paid their respects to a fallen Chicago police officer. A funeral Mass was held Monday morning for 26-year-old Officer Enrique Martinez, who was killed in the line of duty Nov.

Hundreds of law enforcement officers stood at attention on the north lawn of St. Rita of Cascia church Monday morning, rain sprinkling down on them as pallbearers carried the casket of slain Chicago police Officer Enrique Martínez inside the church.

A bagpipe band played outside on the overcast morning as uniformed officers awaited the arrival of a procession carrying Martinez's body to St. Rita of Cascia Shrine Chapel.

Officer Martinez made the ultimate sacrifice, having been shot and killed during a traffic stop two weeks ago. Shardaa Gray reports.

Officer Enrique Martinez was shot to death on the job Nov. 4 in Chatham, Mourners were asked to remember Martinez as more than a police officer. A former official said it was also important to think of the trauma of officers who were with Martinez when he was killed.
