Much like the President of the United States, Auburn football coach Hugh Freeze has come under fire for playing too much golf on the job. After several high-profile decommits and a dismal 2024 campaign that saw the Tigers go 2-6 in SEC play and fail to qualify for a bowl game for just the fourth time this century,

“I like Coach Freeze,” Kiffin said. “I have a thing with him, going back a few years ago, and he like, posted a picture in response to me, of like a two-pound bass or something like that. So, I’ve kind of always posted bigger fish pictures back towards him.”

Most of the fallout from the first two days of SEC Media Days was sillier than not, or expected coach speak about the state of their programs. Leave it to Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin to buck the trend,
