Air India CEO Campbell Wilson said the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau’s (AAIB) preliminary report found “no mechanical or maintenance issues with the aircraft or engine,” reported Hindustan Times. Urging caution, he noted the report identified no cause nor made any recommendations and asked everyone to avoid “drawing premature conclusions.”

The aircraft accident investigation bureau has formed a team to investigate the Ahmedabad plane crash. The crash resulted in 260 deaths. The panel has already submitted a preliminary report. The report indicates a fuel control switch issue and a MAYDAY call shortly after takeoff.

According to AAIB's report, Clive Kunder, a pilot with roughly 1,100 flight hours on Boeing's most advanced jet, was flying the plane.
