The San Antonio Spurs are acquiring Kelly Olynyk from the Washington Wizards for Malaki Branham, Blake Wesley and a 2026 second-round pick, a team source confirmed to The Athletic.
Warriors legend Kevon Looney is leaving the only team he’s ever known, after a decade and three rings. Looney is signing a two-year, $16 million deal with the New Orleans Pelicans, per Shams Charania. It’s unclear if that’s more money than the Warriors were willing to offer, if he was chasing an opportunity with more playing time, or both.
Midnight: As of midnight, the Heat has not yet made any roster moves since the 6 p.m. start of free agency. The Heat’s roster is still at 14 players on standard contracts — one player short of the league-wide 15-man limit for the regular season.
In a somewhat surprising move, the Jazz waived Johnny Juzang hours before the start of free agency, according to Shams Charania of ESPN. After a career-best 8.9 points per game in 2024-25, Juzang now hits the open market.
