'Not emu-sed': Feral and untrained emus Thelma and Louise on the run in South Carolina
The runaway emus, named Thelma and Louise, escaped from their home in Loris, a city about 100 miles northeast of Charleston about three months ago, owner Sam Morace told CBS News on Friday. Thelma and Louise, according to Morace, are still at large.

ATLANTA — For the second week in a row, the eyes of Georgia turn east toward neighboring South Carolina, where there are again reports of escaped animals on the run. After more than 40 monkeys escaped from a lab about an hour west of Charleston, now there's attention on two emus described as "feral" running wild north of Myrtle Beach.

In an interview with CBS News, Morace said the emus are named Thelma and Louise — inspired by the 1991 movie of the same name, starring Susan Sarandon and Geena Davis as two friends on the run from the law.
