One person has died and another 13 have been injured after lightning struck a New Jersey archery range Wednesday night, according to police. The Jackson Township Police Department was alerted shortly before 7:15 p.m. local time of several people being struck by lightning at the Black Knight Bowbenders range, The New York Times reported.
NJ Gov. Phil Murphy is under investigation by the U.S. Attorney's office for past comments suggesting he was harboring an illegal immigrant.

Other Counties: Earlier warnings covered Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Passaic, and Union counties until 8:15 PM EDT, impacting Newark, Elizabeth, and Plainfield. Hunterdon, Somerset, and Middlesex counties faced warnings until 10:30 PM EDT, including Somerville and Franklin Park.
They come in part because local officials and New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy seem willing to gamble that the worst climate projections won’t come to pass.
