Wrap up well if you have to venture out today or tonight as Ireland is set to be blasted by a "cold arctic maritime airmass", with a number of weather warnings issued by Met Eireann. The unseasonably mild November so far has come to an abrupt end and with that comes the arrival of snow and ice for some areas as temperatures plummet.

Snow has been spotted in Northern Ireland as the Met Office has cautioned travel amid ice during yellow weather warning.
