India went the entirety of 2024 without a win after drawing Malaysia 1-1 at the Gachibowli stadium in Hyderabad, with Manolo Marquez's search for a first victory in charge of the national team still continuing. Paulo Josue opened the scoring thanks to an error from Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, with Rahul Bheke equalizing for India in the first half.

Indian erased a goal deficit to hold Malaysia 1-1 in the FIFA International Friendly match at the Gachibowli Stadium in Hyderabad on Monday (November 18, 2024). Malaysia went ahead in the 19th minute through Paulo Josue before Rahul Bheke nodded home the equalizer from a corner in the 39th minute.

Rahul Bheke scored in the 39th minute, but Malaysia held India to a 1-1 draw in the International Friendly on Monday at the Gachibowli Stadium in Hyderabad. With the result, India finished 2024 without winning even one of their 11 matches.

While India are in search of their first win in 2024, Malaysia have won the Merdeka Tournament under Marti, defeating Philippines and Lebanon. A loss to New Zealand was a minor blip (and ended their chances of overtaking India in the rankings and thus enter Pot 1) before a 3-1 win to Laos a few days ago.

Malaysia had seized the lead inside 20 minutes as Paulo Josue pounced on a loose ball after a horrible misjudgement by goalkeeper Gurpreet Singh Sandhu. Rahul Bheke, however, would bring the Indians back on level terms with a 39th minute header off a corner.

India and Malaysia battled to a 1-1 draw in a FIFA friendly match at the GMC Balayogi Stadium. After trailing early due to a goalkeeping error, India equalized before halftime through Rahul Bheke's header.
