Former Dallas Police Chief Eddie Garcia's desire to return to law enforcement in North Texas comes less than a year after he announced his retirement to take an assistant city manager job in Austin.

The shooting stemmed from an argument between two men on the train who were waiting to go to the restroom, according to the Fort Worth Police Department.

A woman was assaulted near a business on South Jennings Street on Wednesday morning, and a suspect was arrested, according to Fort Worth police. Police were called to the 900 block of S. Jennings, on the city’s near south side, about 8:45 a.m.

One suspect has a violent criminal history including prior charges of murder and aggravated assault with a firearm.
