Celebrated poet, author and Colorado Poet Laureate Andrea Gibson died on Monday morning after being diagnosed with cancer four years ago.

Come See Me in the Good Light,” a documentary film made by the poet and their wife dealing with Gibson’s cancer diagnosis in 2021, won festival favorite at Sundance this year. Gibson was 49.
