ANI has sued OpenAI for copyright infringement and fabricating news, alleging unauthorized use of its content to train ChatGPT.

One of India's largest news agencies has sued OpenAI in a case that could set a precedent for how AI companies use copyrighted news content.

This was the first hearing of the case that took place in the Delhi High Court today, where the judge issued a notice to OpenAI seeking interim directions against ChatGPT. The court said that it would appoint an amicus curiae in the case considering the importance of the issue,
