Russia says Ukraine has fired US-supplied long-range missiles into the country, a day after Washington gave its permission for such attacks. Ukraine used the Army Tactical Missile System (Atacms) in a strike on Russia's Bryansk region this morning, the ministry of defence in Moscow said.

Russia's Defence Ministry has claimed that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had struck an arsenal of the main missile and artillery department in Karachev, Bryansk Oblast, using ATACMS missiles on 19 November.

The BBC, citing the Russian Ministry of Defence, reports that Ukraine launched long-range missiles supplied by the USA towards Russia. The attack was said to have occurred in the Bryansk region. Many pieces of information provided by Russian state media or Kremlin officials are likely not true.
