Gov. DeSantis said he wants to avoid establishing a new detention facility at Camp Blanding for now to avoid it being partially filled there & at Alligator Alcatraz.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said on Wednesday he wants the detention facility, dubbed “Alligator Alcatraz,” to be at full capacity before moving forward with the plans to turn Camp Blanding into an immigration detention site.

Due to the attention of Alligator Alcatraz, an ICE detention center in the Florida Everglades, many may be wondering about the gator population here.
