NEW DELHI – A preliminary report into last month’s catastrophic Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner crash, which claimed 260 lives and stands as the world’s deadliest aviation accident in a decade, has revealed a critical moment of confusion in the cockpit after the aircraft’s engines abruptly lost fuel just seconds after takeoff.

According to AAIB's report, Clive Kunder, a pilot with roughly 1,100 flight hours on Boeing's most advanced jet, was flying the plane.

The aircraft accident investigation bureau has formed a team to investigate the Ahmedabad plane crash. The crash resulted in 260 deaths. The panel has already submitted a preliminary report. The report indicates a fuel control switch issue and a MAYDAY call shortly after takeoff.
