Wildfire smoke has made its return to Central Oregon skies. As wildfires continue to burn around the region, many residents are waking up to hazy skies, air quality alerts and the lingering smell of smoke.
Smoke and haze from wildfires in Canada rolled in early Tuesday morning and are expected to linger through the afternoon and night.
As winds shift back out of the south, the Canadian wildfire smoke blanketing the metro is expected to improve throughout the day on Sunday. However, some air quality issues will still persist, especially in northern Minnesota. An air quality alert remains in effect for all of Minnesota until 9 a.m. Monday.
