Lewis' influence and philosophy to engage in "good trouble, necessary trouble," is the backbone of the latest round of nationwide protests against President Donald Trump's administration, called Good Trouble Lives On.

Demonstrators have taken to the streets across multiple states on Thursday to protest President Donald Trump’s Administration in a day of action honoring the late civil rights icon Rep. John Lewis, with more events planned across the country in the evening.

Protesters held a sit-in in the northbound lanes of Broad Street in Newark, later rallying at the Martin Luther King statue.
