A boil water advisory in place for three Twin Cities communities after having their water services disrupted Sunday morning due to a valve malfunction was lifted early Monday night. Water is safe to use as normal.

Residents have reached out to 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS, reporting that their water is not working in Crystal, Golden Valley and New Hope.

"Golden Valley, Crystal, and New Hope issued a boil water order for all water users until further notice," the alert reads. "Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, and food preparation. Boil water for 5 minutes if consuming." This is a developing story.
