Ford Recalls Over 850,000 Cars in the US

Ford is recalling over 850,000 vehicles due to a potential low-pressure fuel pump failure, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, NHTSA.
The automaker says its quality is improving, and the company expects its number of recalled vehicles to drop over time.
Ford has struggled with quality for a while. Shares dipped 18.4% in late July 2024 after the company missed Wall Street’s second-quarter earnings expectations, partly because warranty expenses were up $800 million compared with the first quarter.
NHTSA’s latest safety notices feature rearview camera image errors, incorrectly routed compressed natural gas fuel line, and more.
