Invest 93-L, the broad low pressure area over northern Gulf, remains disorganized. According to the National Hurricane Center's 8 a.m. update, some development could occur before the system moves westward into Louisiana later today or tonight, although the chances of the system developing into a tropical depression are low.
Coastal areas could see flooding and gusty winds, but for much of central Mississippi, the main concern will be heavy rainfall and the potential for flash flooding.
Our forecast remains largely unchanged as we are still awaiting the arrival of some of the tropical rainbands from Invest 93-L.
