We were picked up from our hotel at 5.45pm for a 6.30pm start.

Can you drive to the village or do you have to be collected from a local hotel?
A:
Yes, you can. There is a free carpark at the village. There is also a possibility that the organization will pick you up at your hotel.

there is quite a large carpark at the villiage, plenty of room for cars, buses and campervans
